Broke the glass panel within the oven door -- dropped a blistering dish on the drinking glass!

Hands removed the door from the oven by releasing clips fastened to the door hinge -- very nicely engineered. Removed about 6 philips head screws to allow the door assembly to exist taken autonomously for access to the glass. Lifted out the broken glass, cleaned the inside of the door, installed the new drinking glass, reassembled the door (a two minute projection), and reattached the door to the oven. Inner window drinking glass cracked

The first thing I did was to remove the oven door by releasing the two latches on the hinges (by mitt). I then raised the door toward the vertical position and lifted up. The hinges slide out of the oven housing. I laid the door, inside confront up on my isle counter pinnacle. This ensures that none of the parts will fall when disassembling the door. Next I unscrewed the screws 4 top and bottom and 4 on the inside face. This releases the frame from the front housing. Lift the frame off the door, exposing the glass pieces. Elevator off the broken inside glass and place the new piece in the glass retaining housing. Supervene upon the outside frame and replace all screws. Take door back over to oven and slide hinge bottoms back into slots on oven. Rotate to horizontal position and flip latches back to locked position. Full time was almost 10 minutes mainly considering I was curious how the door was constructed and I poked effectually while information technology was disassembled. Read more...

Broken inner door glass

I removed all the screws attaching the inner liner to the door, then removed the cleaved glass. I did this before ordering the replacement glass so I could be sure that only i slice was broken -- the door contains four pieces of glass in all. After the replacement glass arrived (really fast delivery!), I cleaned all the parts and reassembled the door. I had some difficulty in aligning the spiral holes properly, and I'grand still not sure if I have the outside sheet of drinking glass positioned correctly -- the schematic shows the order in which the parts go together just non how they fit exactly. I should have inspected the door more closely before I took it autonomously. Anyway, it feels solid and everything seems to work. Read more...

Broken oven door inner drinking glass

I commencement removed the two screws (located on the inner side of the door about halfway from the top) which concur the hinges to the door. With the screws removed, I was able to remove the unabridged door by grasping the door on each side and puling up and sliding the door abroad from the hinges.

The rest involves deconstructing the door by removing the screws and layers of metal liner layers and frames until you reach the inner glass.

Forepart oven glass was broken through an accident

Removal of the broken glass was easy , and information technology looked like the new glass only slid back into place. Ordering of the glass was also easy, and it looked like it would work. But, when the drinking glass arrived, it looked liked the new door was exactly 1/ii inch also wide and the handle was 1/ii each off too. There was no where that stated that the glass needs to go in from the bottom upwards. Y'all must take off the door by lowering it all the way to the floor and lifting the hinges. (See the manual) Once it is off, remove the clips from the bottom. And then put the glass on. The handle has to be turned merely one way. So, fifty-fifty though it looks like it could get either way, it doesn't. Plough it over to fit. It was easy once the door and the clips were removed. Read more...
